The client was using NPSP package & wanted to leverage Salesforce sites to register individuals for the events/programs run by their company. We suggested Salesforce sites to them as this saves the cost of Integration/Hosting of site/Domain registration. Android/IOS app was also developed for the client to scan the tickets in the event using QR Code & mark the attendance in the backend. Payment gateways were also provided for anyone to make the payments along with donations from their credit cards.
