The Challenge: As the client's global membership grew, they faced increasing complexity in managing the onboarding process for new member organizations, tracking API access permissions, and ensuring consistent support. Existing systems led to manual data reconciliation, delayed API key provisioning, and challenges in scaling support for a rapidly expanding international community.

The Solution by Applikon: Applikon partnered with the client to design and implement a tailored Salesforce solution that centralized their member organization lifecycle and streamlined API access management:

  • Customized Salesforce Cloud Implementation: Configured Salesforce to manage their unique member onboarding workflow, from inquiry and contract management to payment tracking.
  • Robust System Integrations: Developed seamless integrations with DocuSign (for contract signing), QuickBooks Online (for invoicing), and Slack (for internal communication). Also ensured data flow with legacy databases.
  • Automated API Key Provisioning & Tracking: Implemented custom Salesforce Flows and integrations to automate the generation and assignment of API keys, linking them directly to member records.
  • Enhanced Member Support & Reporting: Implemented features for a comprehensive view of member engagement and created custom reports/dashboards for strategic insights.
  • Salesforce Deprecation Plan & Health Check: Conducted a thorough system audit to identify and remove duplicate fields and unused automations, and cleaned up conflicts to restore system reliability.
